UPSC CSE Application Process 2024

Candidates will have to submit the CSE application form online mode only. After the candidates have successfully registered themselves for the UPSC CSE Exam, candidates will have to fill out the application form which is done online only. There will be separate registration links provided for both the Prelims and Mains exams.

  • Step 1: Click on the direct link provided above.
  •  Step 2: In Part – I registration, candidates will have to fill in all the personal information like name, age, address, etc.
  •  Step 3: After the completion of this section, candidates must ensure/double-check that they have filled in all details correctly. Corrections cannot be made after clicking on the submit button.
  •  Step 4: In Part – II registration candidates have to submit all the requisite documents, namely; educational certificates, ID proof, age relaxation if applicable, photograph, signature, payment details and declaration. (Photograph & Signature should be in JPG format).
  •  Step 5: Candidates must also choose the exam centre they wish to write the examination.
  •  Step 6: Candidates must also ensure that they give a valid email address for further use.
  •  Step 7: Candidates can finally click on the “I Agree” button and submit the application form. A Registration Number will be provided to the candidates, make sure to keep it safe and also take copies of the application form for future reference.

Application Fee for UPSC CSE Exam 2024

  • Application fees once paid will be not refunded under any circumstances.
  • Applications without the prescribed Fee (Unless remission of Fee is claimed) shall be summarily rejected.
  • If any candidate has attended the Civil Services Examination held in 2019/2020/2021 and wishes to apply for admission to this examination, he/she must submit his/her application without waiting for the results or an offer of appointment.
  • Candidates admitted to the Main Examination will be required to pay a further fee of INR 200/-.
  • Online Mode: Candidates can pay the application fee online through SBI Net banking or by cash through SBI bank challan or through credit card/debit card.
  • Offline Mode: To pay the fee in cash, the candidate should take a printout of challan generated online after completion of registration. The candidate may go to the nearest SBI branch for a depositing fee after 24 hours of generation of challan.
  • Candidates must ensure they keep the fee payment receipt carefully with them as they will have to provide proof later on.

UPSC CSE One Time Registration (OTR) 2024

  • There will be no application fee and no age limit to apply for UPSC One Time Registration 2023.UPSC One Time Registration is now compulsory for all candidates to appear for any UPSC examination in future.

UPSC OTR is a One Time Registration that a candidate has to do to appear in the examination conducted by the UPSC in future.
