  • The UPSC CSE Prelims Exam Paper-I will consist of 150 marks in total.
  • Candidates can add +2 Marks for every right answer.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.33 for every wrong answer given by the candidate.
  • The Prelims Paper II CSAT has 80 questions for 200 marks.
  • Each question will be awarded +2.5 marks.
  • There is no negative marking from Question number 74 to 80 as the questions are based on decision making and UPSC does not deduct marks for these questions.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.83 for all other questions.

How to Challenge UPSC CSE Result 2024?

The UPSC CSE result declared by the Commission is considered final and cannot be challenged. UPSC follows a rigorous selection process consisting of preliminary, main and interview rounds to evaluate candidates on various parameters. After evaluating candidates anonymously, UPSC declares the final merit list. Due to the exhaustive nature of the selection process, there is no provision for candidates to raise any objections against the final result or demand re-evaluation.

What After the UPSC CSE Mains Examination Result?

After qualifying in the Civil Services (Mains) examination, candidates should begin with the UPSC CSE Interview. Prior to this, they should apply again in the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for Civil Services Interview. The application window will be available only on the official website of UPSC. The candidates should submit the DAF (CSM) prior to the closing date and save the same for future reference. The CSE result will include the marks secured by the candidates in the prelims, mains and interview phase.
