    Skill Test (DEST), on a computer candidates must type 2000 words in 15 minutes in English. The purpose of this test is to evaluate a candidate’s typing abilities. Candidates are required to type an English article on a computer.

    The DEST Exam, which is administered for the SSC CGL 2024 exam, is used to evaluate applicants for the position of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax).

    Important Notes-

    v  Tier I consists of Objective Type and Multiple Choice questions.
    Except for the English Comprehension paper, the questions will be presented in both Hindi and English for all papers.

    v  The test will be conducted online mode.

    v  Negative checking for Tier 1 is 0.50.

    v  60 min or 1 hour is the exam duration for the Tier 1 SSC CGL Exam.

    v  The disabled applicants will get an extra time of 20 minutes.

    Important Notes-

    v  Papers I, II, and III will be administered in distinct shifts or days
    during Tier II.

    v  Qualifying Paper-I is necessary for all applicants.

    v  Paper II will only be available to applicants who apply for and are
    shortlisted for the position of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO).

    v  Only applicants selected in Tier-I, i.e., for Assistant Audit
    Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions, will be allowed to give
    Paper-III.

    v  The Computer Knowledge Test & DEST will be mandatory but are
    qualifying in nature.

    The SSC CGL Salary 2024 after the 7th pay commission ranges from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 1,511,000 (with bonuses), based on the designation and job profile.

    The SSC’s official website has a link to apply online for the SSC CGL 2024.

    The fee may be paid electronically using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or with a credit or debit card from Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Maestro, or in cash at SBI branches by generating an SBI Challan.

    How to apply for SSC CGL 2024?

    Follow these steps to apply for SSC CGL on the web:

    • Sign in to the SSC CGL Official website.
    • Get yourself registered by using your email ID and phone number. Aspirants will get the registration number via mail and text message.
    • After clicking on the Apply option, you will get the application structure. Fill it out on the web.
    • Aspirants must check the size of the photo and thumb impression details to complete the application.
    • Pay the application fee online or through a Bank Challan, which will be created after you have filled in the necessary SSC CGL 2024 Exam application.
    • After enlistment, click on Apply to get the application submitted.
    • After double-checking the details, click on the Submit button. Check the details thoroughly as the alteration process is not allowed for most of the entries.
    • Download the filled-in application structure.
    • Take the printout for future reference.

    Document Verification

    The submitted documents are needed during the application’s last check.

    SSC CGL Admit Card

    Applicants who have registered for the SSC CGL Exam 2024 within the allotted period will receive a digital admission card, hall ticket, or call letter that can be downloaded from the SSC website.

    • Visit the SSC’s official website.
    • Select the “Admit Card” tab on the header’s homepage.
    • Go to the official website and click the SSC CGL region-specific admit card link.
    • Select “Download e-Admit Card of COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAM – 2024: Tier 1/2” under “Latest News.”
    • Fill in the necessary fields in the new window with the SSC CGL admit card 2024 login information. The login information includes the candidate’s name, date of birth, roll number, registration ID, and captcha.

    SSC CGL Cutoff-

    The SSC CGL cut-off is the minimum mark applicants need to get to qualify for each test phase.

    The cutoff is released after the completion of each stage/level.
